MSSC Mississippi Studies Lesson Plan and Documents
Introduction:
One of the best ways to understand the past and primary source documents is to be able to explain them to others. The following lesson plan and documents will help teachers and students discuss the Civil Rights era in Mississippi in and outside of the classroom using selected documents from the Mississippi State Sovereignty Commission. These documents were chosen by academic historians and K-12 teachers and highlight important historical and educational concepts.
